New Career

It has been almost an entire year since my last post. And boy oh boy has a lot changed. Between the gym I worked at changing names and owners 3 different times ( yes, 3 different times) and the owners at HealthNutz, my former part-time job, moving me up to General Manager of my very own store in Ballantyne, I have been running wild. Let us not forget that I am preparing for my wedding day that's coming up in less than 50 days! Wow, no wonder I haven't been keeping up with my Blog. There has barely been enough time to even think. But between my wonderful Fiance and my extremely awesome family, I have gotten through it all with so much ease! The abundance of Faith in the GOOD LORD ABOVE has most definitely been helpful as well.

The title of my first Blog was "Blessed", and that definitely hits the nail on the head. I am so incredibly BLESSED! I am reminded of that every single day I roll out of bed and stare into the frames that house everyone from my beautiful wife to be, to my Pop, to my two sisters. All reminders to me of how I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for every single one of them.
Jessica- Thank you for loving me!! You don't just love the good, you love the entire thing. You keep me looking up and believing in myself when there are times I just want to give up. You give me all the reason in the world to do my best and strive for more!!
Dad- You taught me how to love a woman the right way. You never told me in words, but you told me in a much deeper way. Y ou taught me with actions. The way you have loved Mom for so many years has been my blueprint, and I strive to be the Husband and Father that you have been.
Mom- You are true strength. I love you for so many reasons. But I love you most for the way you have loved all of us!!!
Pop- Even though you're gone, not a day goes by I don't see your face! You taught me how to be a Man! I learned independence from you. I learned the importance of taking care of my family from you. I learned how deep love really does run from you. God how much I miss you!
Poppy Bob- Even in your absence you loved us all. I never doubted it. You could sense it when you were with us. You tried to hide under this tough exterior, but you always failed when you were around my Mom. Your love for you daughter, showed me how to one day, love my own.
Cassie- You have always been a Great older sister. But you are so much more than that to me. You are my friend and a true example of strength. You were dealt a crazy hand in life, but you have played it well. You are the poker champion of life and I look up to you so much. I learn from you ever day.
Kyle- You are probably one of the most unselfish men I have ever met. The way you love my sister makes me respect you in a way I have never respected anyone before. The silent Faith you have flows through your veins and it is apparent with all he has Blessed you with.

I have been touched by man people in my life. But you guys listed above have made such an impact that you live in my heart forever. Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourselves with me. My blessings are your blessings!! From now, till the end!

I Love You!

BLESSED

My wonderful Fiance recently designed me my very own website. We both felt it would be beneficial in the long run for my career and for my future as a Trainer. On my website we were going to post some testimonials from the clients I am currently training. I contacted my clients and let them know, and without a single bat of the eye, my clients testimonies flooded my email. As I read through them, I could actually feel the tears fill my eyes. I knew my clients and I had a good time together, and I knew from all the sweat and war cries, the workouts were good. But I had no idea that they felt this way about me.
I have always considered myself a very blessed man. Even through the toughest of times, the Lord has blessed my life in every way imaginable. Why I would think this would be different, I don't know. But he has done it again. He has blessed me with the best clients a Trainer could ask for and for that, I am forever thankful!

Magazine Workout

I had to share this so others that might read this will understand that the following activity is a big no-no in the gym. I saw a women today on the Lying Leg Curl Machine...get this....are you ready for it....READING A MAGAZINE. I'm serious, scouts honor, on my mothers grave, cross my heart hope to die. I witnessed it with my very own eyes. The very eyes the good Lord gave me watched her as she was just lying there, glasses on, flipping through the pages. Later on I discovered it was none other than a Women's Health Magazine that she was reading. So I guess lying on a piece of EXERCISE equipment while reading an EXERCISE magazine, now counts as an EXERCISE. My only hope, is that the people who saw her are not going to think it is a new magic celebrity workout fad, and I come in the gym Monday and everyone is on a piece of equipment with a Spotter to hold their Magazines.

Air Conditioning

Ok, so I work for a gym that currently has no air conditioning. And by currently I mean that ever since the heat came on during the winter, it never went off... I'm old fashioned, so when I'm working out in the same gym, I love it. I love to sweat, I love to be hot, and I feel there should not be pampering of any kind while busting your butt. It kind of takes the point of it all away. I'm not in the gym to be comfortable. I'm in the gym to WORK!!!! So I guess you could say I have always been against these gyms that spend more time on keeping the gym comfortable than the important things, like maintaining the gym and keeping the cardio equipment tuned and the weights and machines in check.
However, when I am training a client, it is a totally different ball game. When I am "working", I want to try and be as comfortable in there as possible. I'm not saying I need an Artic Chill, but a little air flow would be excellent. I guess you can say I want to have my cake and eat it too. But hey, I'm looking out for my clients welfare as well. I'm sure they don't want me sweating on them while I am showing the correct way to perform a Bulgarian Split Squat.
All of this brings me to the following conclusion........air...........IS GOOD!
